Book an Appointment
Please continue to follow Public Health recommendations, including staying home when you are unwell or if you test positive for COVID. We appreciate your consideration!
CANCELLATION POLICY: First-time late cancellations will result in a charge of 50% of the appointment fee, and full-appointment price for subsequent late cancellations. Your appointment time is reserved just for you, so please provide at least 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. Thanks for your understanding.
We can direct bill many insurers, but there are exceptions. Sunlife does not allow direct billing for osteopathy. Please confirm with your provider whether they accept direct billing from healthcare providers for the particular service you are seeking. If they do not, you will need to pay upfront and submit your insurance claim yourself.
Please note that Rebecca Libby is not taking new patients. You are welcome to book with another osteopath or physiotherapist or call 902-529-1331 and we will assist you with booking.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic floor dysfunctions are more common than you can imagine and one of the reasons that you may not know this is...we do not talk about them! Numerous women suffer from:
-incontinence (leakage of pee)
-urinary frequency and/or urgency (need to pee often / can't wait to get to a toilet)
-bowel issues including constipation, straining or pain
-unexplained pain in the low back, the pelvic region, the genital area or the rectum
-pain during or after sex
-organ prolapse
-pelvic pain associated with endometrioses, interstitial cystitis, and prostatitis (just to name a few)
-pre and post pregnancy issues including pain, leakage, bulging and scarring from c-sections, tearing or episiotomy
We treat women of all ages and for a wide range of issues. Young athletes who may have incontinence issues, women pre and post pregnancy, sedentary women with pain issues, bowel or bladder issues and pre or post menopausal women may all benefit from pelvic health physiotherapy.
Physio Pilates
Physio Pilates is a unique blend of Pilates and core exercises offered under the direct supervision of a physiotherapist, either individually or in small groups. Those familiar with the Pilates Method will recognize exercises designed to improve mobility and strength, optimize core muscle recruitment, and enhance athletic performance. Physio Pilates begins with an assessment during which the best exercises are chosen to suit your body, injuries, and fitness goals.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a drug-free, non-invasive form of therapy that focuses on the health of the whole body, not just the injured or affected part. Osteopathy involves gentle, hands-on manipulation of the spine, joints, and muscles in order to treat the causes of pain and imbalance. Osteopathy can provide relief for a myriad of health conditions (see list below), and treatment can also assist with sleep cycles and the nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic symptoms.
Osteopathic Manual Treatment is highly individualized and everyone can benefit from it's preventative and rehabilitative effects. Your practitioner will take a full health history and perform a thorough assessment to determine if it is safe and appropriate for you to receive treatment.
For complaints including:
Neck, back, and other joint pain
Headaches and migraines
Jaw pain, occlusion problems
Chronic ear infections
Sinusitis
Symptoms resulting from concussion
Digestive issues
Pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain, edema or swelling, digestive issues
Asthma, bronchitis, and other respiratory conditions
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy uses a variety of techniques to manipulate your joints and soft tissue to improve your body’s overall health. Massage increases the body’s supply of oxygen and nutrients to your muscles, which help release waste from the muscle tissue. Massage also accelerates your body's own natural ability to heal itself.
Acupuncture & TCM
Acupuncture, an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is used to correct and restore the flow of bioelectrical energy (called Qi) in the body.
Qi (pronounced "chee") serves to nourish and instruct our cells, organs and tissues, and enables them to carry out their normal physiological functions. When this electrical energy, or Qi, becomes blocked, pain may result.
When Qi flows in an abnormal pathway or direction over a period of time, pain and illness result.
Acupuncture needles are fine, sterile needles which when inserted are usually painless, and are often not felt at all. Many people find acupuncture treatments very relaxing. Acupuncture has been shown scientifically to achieve analgesic, anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects.
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is a system of primary health care that is grounded both in modern scientific knowledge as well as traditional healing practices. Naturopathic philosophy is rooted in the belief that under the right conditions, the human body has the innate ability to heal itself. Beginning with the least invasive therapies such as lifestyle modifications, optimizing nutrition, and acupuncture, your naturopathic doctor will work with you to build a state of sustainable health. When necessary, stronger interventions such as herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, and naturopathic injection therapies may be used. Regardless of the specific treatment used, your treatment plan will aim to eliminate the root cause of your symptoms, rather than just the symptoms themselves.
In Canada, naturopathic doctors must graduate from accredited naturopathic medical programs, pass standardized North American board exams, and adhere to national and provincial standards of practice.
